About JT Trujillo

JT is an investor and operator focused on deploying capital for impact. Prior to Angel City Advisors, he founded RoJo Ventures, a micro-VC fund investing in diverse-led startups and mission-driven businesses, leading deals in sectors like FinTech, AI, and healthcare. He previously worked at Open Opportunity Fund a venture capital fund focused on backing Black and Latino founders, where he contributed to portfolio strategy, investment research, and the development of a high-profile mentor network. Earlier, he managed post-accelerator portfolio support at Goodie Nation, guiding diverse founders in securing capital and scaling their ventures.

JT is a first-generation college graduate and Colombian American holding an MBA from Emory University with concentrations in Alternative Investments and Entrepreneurship, where he worked on the Peachtree Minority Venture Fund, deploying catalytic capital to underrepresented founders.
